A maternity session is a photography session designed to capture and celebrate the experience of an expectant mother and her growing family. The best time to schedule a maternity session is generally between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy, or the third trimester, when the baby bump is beautifully round but the mother is still comfortable. Sessions can also be earlier for twins or later for a more prominent belly, depending on the mother's comfort and pregnancy progression.
